ABOUT MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS ↘
Medical weight loss at Haus of Aesthetics Med Spa in San Antonio combines weekly GLP-1 medication with ongoing check-ins to help you reach and keep a healthier weight. Your program is led by our nurse practitioner under the supervision of Charles Berko, MD, and starts with a medical evaluation to make sure it is safe for you.
HOW IT WORKS ↘
Medical weight loss uses prescription medications that work with your body's natural appetite hormones. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 medication, and tirzepatide acts on both GLP-1 and GIP. Both help you feel full sooner, reduce cravings and support healthy blood sugar, which makes it easier to eat less and build lasting habits.
THE TREATMENT EXPERIENCE ↘
Your first visit includes a medical consultation to review your health history, current medications and goals, and to confirm you are a good candidate.
If the medication is right for you, you receive a once-weekly injection. We start at a low dose and increase it gradually to limit side effects.
Weekly injection visits take about 15 minutes. We check your progress, weight and side effects regularly and adjust your dose as needed.
WHAT TO EXPECT ↘
Most clients notice less hunger and fewer cravings within the first few weeks, and weight loss builds gradually over several months. Mild nausea, fullness or constipation is common at first and usually improves as your body adjusts. Pairing treatment with balanced meals, protein and activity gives the best long-term results. Individual results vary.
