Radiesse® and RHA® are two FDA-approved dermal fillers we use to restore volume, lift and define features, and soften lines while keeping your expressions natural. At Haus of Aesthetics Med Spa in San Antonio, your injector chooses the right product for each area based on your anatomy and goals.

HOW IT WORKS ↘

Radiesse® and RHA® work in different ways. Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite filler that adds instant lift and then stimulates your own collagen and elastin. The RHA® Collection is a resilient hyaluronic acid filler designed to stretch and move with your face, so it suits areas that move a lot, like smile lines and the mouth.

THE TREATMENT EXPERIENCE ↘

  1. Your visit begins with a consultation to assess your facial structure, skin quality and goals, and to choose the right product and amount.

  2. Your injector places the filler in targeted areas with a fine needle or cannula. Both products contain a numbing agent to keep you comfortable.

  3. Most visits take about 45 to 60 minutes. Results are visible right away, and many clients need only one session to reach their goal.

WHAT TO EXPECT ↘

You will see lift and smoothing right after treatment. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising is normal and settles within a few days to two weeks. Radiesse® keeps improving skin quality as collagen builds and can last up to 2 years. RHA® results can last up to 15 months in smile lines and folds. Individual results vary.

  • Radiesse® results have been shown to last up to 2 years, and RHA® results can last up to 15 months in smile lines and folds. How long your results last depends on the area treated, your metabolism and your lifestyle.

  • Radiesse® is a great fit for lifting and defining the cheeks and jawline and for improving skin firmness. RHA® is ideal for areas that move a lot, like smile lines, marionette lines and lips. Many clients benefit from a combination. Your injector will recommend a plan at your consultation.

  • For the first 24 hours, avoid the following to help reduce swelling and bruising:

    • Excessive sun, tanning beds or extreme heat

    • Pressing on, massaging or sleeping face-down on the treated areas

    • Strenuous exercise

    • Saunas, steam rooms, or hot yoga

    • Alcohol consumption

    • Facial treatments, peels or lasers for 2 weeks

    Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising is normal and fades within a few days. You can return to most normal activities the same day. Call us with any questions or concerns.
